HOW WE STARTED

Hollow Spirit Studios was founded in 2017 by cousins Dominique Scott and Daniel Bailey as a creative outlet to exercise their unique skill sets in the music and video production industry.

Coming from the same family, Daniel and Dominique grew up listening to very similar music, and therefore share a common language when producing. They have a wide range of influences and are proficient in many genres including: rock, pop, r&b, hip hop, jazz, latin, opera, classical, orchestral, country, and soul.

Because of their unique position among the “acting, musical theater, and music worlds”, they discovered an untapped source of talent among their peers and are now ushering in an era of inspired, cutting-edge music and video, reinvigorating the entertainment industry as a whole.

Daniel Bailey – Founder/Owner

Born in South Florida, Daniel began playing the drums as far back as he can remember.  At ten years old, he moved to Atlanta and eventually transitioned his focus to guitar where he developed his skills in many different styles. While playing in various bands throughout high school and college, Daniel discovered the art of recording. As a producer, he began working on any project he could find; whether it be recording his friends’ jazz combo or various EDM projects. In University, Daniel entered the Music Business program at the University of Georgia. He began an internship at the Georgia Theatre in Athens where he learned the intricacies of live sound by working alongside major touring acts. After that experience, he moved to NYC (where he now resides permanently) and interned at Studio G Brooklyn. There, he continued to develop his sound engineering knowledge in a professional studio setting.
